Make it Count

I am usually low-key. I like my hair in a braid paired with a trucker hat. I don't often spend time sitting at my vanity. Today, I decided to dress a little nicer. I curled my hair and put on makeup for the first time in a week. After I was done, I reached for my favorite bottle of perfume, Daisy Eau So Fresh by Marc Jacobs. My perfume bottle is almost empty, so I had to tilt it a little to get it to spray. As I did, I reminded myself that I needed to make every spray count. I need to decide when I want to wear it over the next few weeks until I buy a new bottle.
I stopped and thought, wow, I need to make everything count. I need to decide what I will exhaust my time, my love, and my energy on. Something as simple as perfume can be inspiring. It made me take a few minutes to think about all I already have and am so grateful for. It also made me think of everything I am currently working on and trying to achieve.
I am writing, blogging, and designing. All are passions of mine. All make me excited to wake up each morning.
It feels good to go for it.
To write what I feel when I feel it.
Just as my perfume is disappearing with each spray, so too am I.
Each breath I take is one that I will never get back, so I'm going to make it count.
